AGRO Flush-mounted box for equipment

The new wiring boxes for concrete and masonry walls offer even more space for the installation and wiring of actuators, WLAN modules and terminals. Using the new Prefix® mounting system, wing brackets for connection to opposing formwork can be attached directly to the nail channels on the box perimeter – a unique feature on the market. The nails no longer need to be disconnected / snipped thanks to the external nail points. The protective cover remains on the box and protects the connection holes from dirt. The special bristle arrangement makes it possible to keep track of box size in the wall, even with a thick coat of plaster.

Mounting of the Prefix® wing brackets on the Varifix® inlet box

The nail channels of the AGRO inlet box also serve as connectors for the Prefix wing brackets to slide onto.

The Prefix wing brackets have round connection holes at one end ..

... and are slid onto the nail channel ..

... until a "click" is heard and the wing bracket can move no further.

Pre-connect to the reinforcement, quickly and easily, using the Prefix installation technology.

Checking the concrete cover. If any need to adjust, the wing brackets may be removed and rotated 180°C.

Securing with tying wire. The use of cable ties is not recommended.

Tying with wire at every point where a wing bracket has contact with a rebar reduces the risk of the unit becoming displaced during concreting.

Nailing out

If the nails are still in the box when removing the formwork, simply use a pair of pliers ...

... to pull them straight out. The plastering cap is used to continue protecting the connection holes.

Tips & Tricks

Alignment

Thanks to the marking on each side, the flush-mounted box can be precisely aligned before nailing.

Wing bracket attachment

During Prefix® installation, care should be taken to ensure that the contact surface of the rebars is outside the hatched zone.

Nailing in position

The separately routed nail channels increase ease of installation and simplify nail removal.

Optimum nail size

The optimum nail size for the AGRO flush-mounted box is ø 3.5 x 90 mm.

Compatibility of Prefix® wing brackets

The 1x1 inlet boxes 9902.21 and 9902.21.14 cannot be equipped and installed with the Prefix® wing brackets. Articles 9941 & 9940 may be used for this purpose.
